I survived my Winter Intersession class, cramming hundreds of years of history into three weeks, three hours a day.
I also survived the potentially feral children I devout my mornings to. For those of you who don’t know- I work at local elementary schools for a before-school program. I make waffles, play Candy Land, and sometimes knock down their blocks. If anything, I’m preparing them for the real world.
I’m all moved (back) in. Now, I’m just sitting on a day or so of peace before the semester starts and I have no time.
Thanks to some creative scheduling, I don’t have classes on Wednesdays or Fridays. However, I have all five of my classes on Thursday. Without a break. Fun stuff. But three day weekend, every weekend….hello! best idea ever.
This semester, I’m taking:
-U.S. History II
-Judicial Process (which I already have homework for…)
-Age of French Revolution & Napoleon
-U.S. in World Affairs
-Human Behavior (my last CORE class…after this, it’s only stuff for my majors!)
We’re supposed to get some MORE snow Wednesday into Thursday, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a snow day on my first day of classes. What can I say? I didn’t really get a real vacation between working and class. Plus, I love snow. It makes everything so pretty and the world is frosted in happiness (until it turns gross, brown, and mushy after a few days.)
Speaking of gross…I should probably get started on my reading for Judicial Process. The class should be interesting, I’m just not quite in school mode at the moment.
